ROOT2LEAF ORGANIC LLP
Indian roots.
A place in your everyday.
A familiar dal. The spice that makes a recipe yours. A pantry that works as hard as you do.
Root2Leaf Organic LLP brings together plant ingredients, product development and a simple ambition: make thoughtful food choices easier to bring home. Based in Gujarat, our work spans food, beverages, botanical ingredients and everyday care.
Our name is a reminder to look closely—from the root to the leaf, and from the source to the way an ingredient is used. The right choice begins with understanding what is in the pack, what it is for and how it fits your routine.
Retail is where that work meets real life. We want to help you find useful ingredients, choose a pack you can finish and ask a question when something is unclear. A good shopping experience should leave you feeling informed, not overwhelmed.

THE PERSON BEHIND IT
Dr. Dipak S. Patel, M.Pharm., Ph.D.
Founder, Researcher & Innovation Guide
Dr. Dipak S. Patel is a pharmaceutical sciences professional, researcher and product-development specialist with more than 20 years of multidisciplinary experience across pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, natural products, food, herbal formulations, manufacturing and quality systems. He holds a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences along with a Diploma in Drug Design and Patenting. His professional journey has shaped a strong belief that better consumer products begin with better ingredients, responsible sourcing, sound science and consistent quality.
At Root2Leaf Organic, Dr. Patel’s vision is focused on building a trusted organic retail brand that brings carefully selected, responsibly sourced and quality-driven products into everyday households. The aim is not simply to offer a wide range of organic products, but to create a portfolio that consumers can understand, trust and use with confidence across their daily lifestyle. From staples, spices, grains and pulses to superfoods, teas, oils, salts and other natural wellness products, every category is developed with emphasis on authenticity, quality, traceability, clean processing and reliable consumer experience.
His scientific and manufacturing background brings a deeper level of evaluation to product selection and development. Ingredients are considered not only for their origin, but also for identity, quality parameters, safety, processing, stability and suitability for regular consumption. This approach helps Root2Leaf combine the values of traditional food and natural wellness with modern quality expectations.
Dr. Patel also brings strong understanding of organic certification, food safety systems, regulatory requirements and international quality frameworks, supporting the brand’s commitment to transparency and compliance. His long-term vision is to establish Root2Leaf as a dependable and progressive organic lifestyle brand—one that connects responsible agriculture with thoughtful product development and makes better-quality natural products more accessible to modern consumers.

OUR DIRECTION

MISSION
Bring knowledge closer to the kitchen.

What progress looks like to us
More useful product information. Pack sizes that make sense. A growing library of questions answered in plain language. And a closer connection between the people developing products and the people using them.
Affordability is part of that ambition. Value is not only the price on a pack: it is also how often you use it, how well you store it and how little goes to waste.
NATURE, UNDERSTOOD
Plant origins.
Thoughtful questions.
We are drawn to plant ingredients for their variety, flavour and many everyday uses. Understanding them is just as important as appreciating them.
“Natural” and “organic” are different descriptions. A plant-based ingredient is not automatically organic, suitable for eating or right for every person. Its identity, preparation and intended use matter.
Read the intended use
A botanical sold for external care is not interchangeable with a food ingredient. Follow the directions on the specific pack.
Look beyond a single word
Check the ingredient list, allergen information, storage directions and the amount you plan to use.
Our approach is to explain the ingredient without turning it into a miracle. Food choices work best as part of an overall routine; a product is not a substitute for personalised medical care.
Explore quality and transparencyORGANIC, EXPLAINED
A way of producing food.
A choice you can understand.
Organic describes a system of agricultural production and processing, supported by applicable standards and certification. It is worth understanding the information behind the label, rather than relying on a colour, a leaf symbol or a broad promise.
Start with the label
For organic food in India, FSSAI’s consumer guidance explains the Jaivik Bharat identity and applicable NPOP or PGS-India certification information. Check the certification details relevant to the product, along with the FSSAI licence information.
Read FSSAI’s organic label guide ↗An organic label does not mean unlimited portions or that a food is free from allergens. Storage, preparation and the balance of your overall diet still matter.
Start with ingredients you already buy and use regularly. Choose what suits your budget and household, and ask us if you need help understanding a particular product’s information.

Small choices.
A routine that feels like yours.

Healthier eating does not need a perfect pantry. Variety, balance and moderation matter across the whole diet. WHO’s healthy-diet guidance places these principles at the centre, with room for different cultures, preferences and daily lives.
Build around meals you enjoy: vegetables, pulses, grains and other foods that fit your needs. Consider how much you eat, how you prepare it and what else is on the plate—not just whether a pack says organic.
Where can I begin?
Choose one ingredient you use often. Compare its pack size and cost, plan where you will store it and keep the recipe familiar. A small change you can sustain is a useful place to start.
How can I avoid buying more than I need?
Think about your household’s pace, storage space and the product’s best-before date. A larger pack is useful when you can finish it well.
What if I have a health condition or food allergy?
Read the ingredient and allergen information and speak with a qualified health professional about your individual needs. Our educational pages help explain food choices; they do not diagnose or treat illness.
